I had the throttle body service done today at MoT. After I picked up my car, I've been noticing that the revs take longer to drop - it feels like the throttle plate is being held upon. There were even a few occasions where the car was idling at 2000rpm at stoplights. Is this normal after a TB service, and will it go away by itself after driving more?

Hey clem....I know this is off topic but can't resist asking you this....Does MOT charge you extra for jacking up your car cause its too low? They wanted to charge me last time when i went in for oil change.

Is it possible your battery was disconnected and the cpu is just remapping?

What is throttle body service? Is that just cleaning the throttle body? I'm Just curious what they charge for that? (I clean my own TB's myself.)

As for your problem - I would take it back to them to check out and fix asap. A sticking TB plate is a seriously dangerous situation.
