Have you replaced your turn and brake lights for LED bulbs?

is it 100% legal? I assume so, they are all available at the xenon store...

when you do these replacements, do you just replace the bulbs?

thanks

the 06+ hatchs have LED tails, as well as the 07 sedans. IIRC the G35 ones are very nice.

yes they are legal.

as far as replacements go, it won't be as easy as attaching a new one like halogens, but im not totally sure how the tails work so i'll let someone who's seen them or know about them chime in.

As far as the third brake light goes. they are arranged in a series of 3 led strips. so if one led goes. you gotta replace it in a strip of 3.

for fog lights, HID or LED?

from this website (http://frickinbrite.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=80&products_id=282):
"Note: Bulbs are not an adequate light source for driving at night."

can we put LED for fog lights?

For the LED bulbs on the turn signals, you'd need to get load resistors as well, or else they will blink very fast.

Yes I can confirm that, from my buddy's car (sedan)

I can confirm that on Royroys car.. lol it was jokes.
anyway
there's no law saying that driving with shitty fogs is illegal. there's many cars without fogs, heck i drive without my fogs on.

There's no law that say you have to have drl's either atleast not in the GTA area.

If your car is stock, it won't let you drive with only your fogs on anyway unless you do the fog mod.
if you do have the fog mod done, you still shouldn't be driving with only fogs on because even with hid fogs, they only really light up the first 4 feet away from the car.

Which means that if you're driving, you'll probably see 1-2feet of the beam from the driver seat. which means, you can't see where you're going and if you are about to hit something, you'll see it when it's 1-2 feet away from your car. YAY~!

i got led signals b4 in the rear .. but i switch them out...
as for the front, i think xenon is using LEDs... but the key is to get the resistors so than u won't b annoyed with ticking sound and the fast blinking..

Hey , just heard about the site thought I'd join up :)

I know Gizzmo_jr wanted some pics of the led turn signals. As far as the bulbs themselves, they are a hell of alot brighter than my aftermarket headlights. (no I don't have hids lol) . As far as legal..... under the highway traffic act it doesn't get into detail of the nature of colour your turn signals can be. For sure you cannot have blue headlights, blue flashing lights above the dash (snowplow) . As far as legal, have numerous friends who are police officers and they've stated they wouldn't pull me over. As far as OPP, haven't been pulled over. Been through numerous speed traps and never been pulled over . If you do go for the bulbs they run for about 13.99 per unit , brand I went with was eurolite. Looks good imo.

I have LED tails along with chrome dipped halogen bulbs for the signals on the way from the xenon store. Should have them this week. I'll put pics up once they are installed. I opted for the halogen bulbs because I didn't want to deal with putting in a load resistor and I think they will look better than the LED ones that are available IMO.

I agree with Sean80 just get chromed halogen bulbs , leds blue are alright they only look good at night.

Hi,

I'm still confused about LED replacements for both tail/brake lights?

Is it possible to swap stock bulbs (7443) to LED bulbs for both tail/brake lights?

cheers

They shouldn't be a problem to just replace them. I think the only issue would be how well you can see them from different angles.

Any bulb on your car can be replaced with LEDs. The problem we have found in the past with the Mazda3 is the taillight bulbs go in on an angle, and the ones we use to sell, where not bright enough.

If you don't have the new 3 with the factory LED brake/tails we recommend these....

Same goes with the rear signals, and yes you need a pair of load EQs also to make the signals flash at a normal rate.

3rd brake light is easy, just swap in these...

Bulb code is 906/921

The LED fogs look wicked! Stock fogs don't really do anything anyways, for the most part, they send extra light in a wide pattern in front of the car, but does not extend to far in front. If you want to see, turn your headlight on! As far as people seeing you, the LEDs work just as well! We can get the H11s in superwhite or yellow!!
