Ok so im stuck between these 2 rims for my 3...

Help me choose please!!


Ikon Zen

Small lean towards the Talon.

hmm...preference for zen

James if you are lowering your car, the talons would make the 3 longer.. Which looks classy, but if you go for zen it will make the car look fast.. Like the cars moving even though its stationary.

I'd go for the Talon. I've always been a fan of multi- spoke rims. IMO, they look better when they are rolling :)

the Ikon i'm not feeling at all, plus like WhiteSpeed3 said, not diggin the multi bolt diameter size holes.

besides the universal bolt holes im liking the talons waay better

for some reason the zens scream stock lancer ralliart rims to me.

Zens look great on the 3, but are a common rim.

The talons are nice, but I don't think they'd look the greatest against the 3. If you get a chance put them against your car in person or photoshop them.

I'd go with the Zen, despite being around a lot they are a great looking rim!

Talons will be cheaper, as they are being discontinued soon, and not many sets are left. Then Zen isnt going anywhere this year that I know of. Both great wheels for cheap :)

I'd def go for the Talons... they seem to fit the look of the car better, while the Zens, are just too edgy

Cardinal's pic definitely sells it, I was leaning towards the Zen to begin with, they do look pretty sick on the 3...just my 2 cents if you haven't picked them up yet.

The zen look good but have you looked at ADR MClassic. They are gloss black with a nice lip.

Going for the 'Talon' myself. Getting a set of 17" from 'midnightfxgt', can't beat the price!!

I gotta see these talons on the 3... I was thinking of those early spring, but found out the ones i was looking at had the wrong bolt pattern.

So I just got the Talon's on. They are much more glossy then I expected from the photos. I was worried that they were too grey but I'm very happy with the look next to the carbon grey.......

Thoughts?

Other then "paint the calipers"...... I think I just figured that out!

I agree that they are "plain" relative to some rims. I'm not really going for a flashy look, so I'm happy with them.

Looks good. I know its hypocritical for me to say this, but it would look excellent with a drop.

(for those of you wondering, no I'm not going to do pro-kits (to scared of rubbing) I'll do Racing Beats eventually)

A slight drop might be on the list, but I might have a few problems

1) the offset is + 40 and with 215's I might have some rubbing
2) the GF own's a cottage with a dirt road on the way in
3) the 3 is a ski machine in the winter (stealies and a roof rack)

no worries man..already pick up my rims its not ikon's no more..pick up fast wheels..pics to follow tommorow when i have time
