My 3 turns off and then back on and then Hops...

About a week ago my car started acting up on me.
Everytime i shift gears especially from first to second, it turns off and quickly turns back on all on it's own and after it's done that it starts to jump, i feel like one of those farmers with those old trucks...lol... and i have also noticed that the engine rattles and has a funny smell, oh and it has had a delay when it starts.
I really hope Mazda doesn't tell me my warranty is voided cuz of a few engine mods. Sad thing about all of this she's a little over a year old and only has 27,000km
anyone had that problem or know what it may be??

What are the most recent mods you've done?

Have you checked your oil level?

the only things i have done are cold air induction and exaust, last time i was there they said depends on the problem my car has my warranty could be voided cuz of the cold air.... my oil is good the first thing i check

check the mass air sensor sometimes the wires on it get pulled right out

I just went a dropped off my car at Dufferin Mazda, the service tech thinks it's the way i drive wich is total bullshit, because i've had the car for over a year and never had this problem and because it has turned off when i'm idle and in Neutral...I'll let you know what they say!

okay so Mike called me from Dufferin Mazda and told me that the person who installed my Alarm/remote starter, didn't install it properly, which broke some wires wich was causing it to turn on and off...the damage: $240
I would take it back to TINT KING (Midland and Lawrence) but i know he will just create a bigger problem. (we had 3 of our cars done and the same time and lets just say the other two have been back at his shop more times than i can count, my car just happened to outlast the other 2 with problems) Oh and he's been to my house atleast three times cuz they wouldn't start at all!
Don't go there, PLEASE!
