I know a few of you have a MS CAI and was wondering where and how much you paid. There is a group buy on M3F right now with Tiffany @ Showcase, they are selling it for $300 US, shipped, im sure it will be a bit more then that for the shipping and I am guessing around $40 CDN for the customs fees. So all said and done about $380 CDN using current exchange rates. This is a great price seeing as my dealer here in Belleville quoted me $460 plus tax.
As well, I think I read that someone was doing the install yesterday or recently anyways...let me know if you had any issues, from what I hae read the instructions are pretty good and the installs were straight forward.

I think your customs fees and taxes will be more than $40 CDN. More like $46.20 for PST and GST (based on 10% exhange) and anywhere from $5 to $30 for customs fees (depending on shipping company used)

Even still, seems cheaper to order it from them. Maybe around $420 CDN

It all depends how much value they put it as.
I did buy the CAI from M3F and I only got charged $20 for the customs. In total, it's about $360 CAD. I'd say that's pretty good deal.

I got mine for around 375 CND plus dealer installating.... total was about 550 for parts, labour and taxes

I finally got the CAI installed yesterday. For some reason I don't really feel this increase in power 1st and 2nd gear that everyone talks about.
Except for that pshhhhh sound, I don't feel much.

It takes a bit of time and dirt on the filter to break it in... The bit of restriction helps with the power gain.

did anyone dyno a speed3 with the mazdaspeed intake?

wat are the gains i could never find a chart for the mazdaspeed

CAI gains when their is more air, the faster you're going the more pronounced the gains. I find it breathes better near 6k, but i agree there isn't a huge difference... apparently the combo of the exhaust with the intake yields better overall gains than just either or

Thanks for clearing that up. As for the exhaust, it will be awhile before I could get that. :chuckle
As for the sound, sometimes it sounds like sand grinding. :chuckle Is that right?
