I've been getting an intermittent clunk noise from the front end exclusively at speeds of 120 kph or higher. I might not hear it for a week, then one day, I'll hear it 10 times over a 30 km stretch. when I hear the noise, I can feel the vibration caused by the noise through the accelerator pedal. It seems like something is loose, but I haven't been able to figure out what.
Anyone have any ideas? Dealer gave it the once over when I brought it up, but got the common couldn't replicate the problem response.

this is so funny i bet if ur out of warranty and ur paing for repairs they will find evry problem they can :chuckle
you may want to check ur motor mounts
this is so funny
I dunno how funny it is... Houston I'd say just keep trying new dealers until one looks after you and your 3 the way you expect. It took me 2 dealerships but the 3rd treated me like gold. Good luck hope you get this fixed and soon.

I think my problem might have been solved by pure chance. I was Airport Mazda getting an oil change yesterday and they discovered that one of my engine mounts was broken (top of the motor, passenger side) in the process of changing the oil. Apparently, if the mount is broken, the engine sits a bit lower. That is how the tech noticed it.
Haven't heard the strange noise since. The car also runs smoother and quieter on the highway.
BTW, I'm out of warranty, but the mount was covered by the powertrain warranty!
