Any feedback on how these would look on my car?
Better yet, can one of the PS pros work their magic?

i like the 10 spoke one...but think the 6 spoke would suit the 3 better...

hope someone w/ pchop skillz will prove me wrong...

lots of ppl have the 6 spoke or similar wheel already...the 10 spoke would be more unique.

My vote out of those 2 is the DC-6,

I think fatter rims look better than thin spoke ones on our cars imo.

just gotta do ur calipers red now :)

I'm hopefully going in for a test fitting this week on the DC-6's.

Tenzo is unsure if they'll fit properly :(

Thanks Gizzmo_Jr for the PS-ing....much appreciated!!
As much as I like the look of the DC-6's a lot, I'm pretty much settled on the Mach-10's. I like the originality of the 10-spoke on the 3, and actually like the look a lot too. I also like that the red is in a groove, not the entire lip as on the DC-6. Now to go shopping!

Where are you going for the test-fittings?

Does this statement apply to the 18 x 7.5 's??? Not sure what the available offset is (if that makes any sense). As much as possible, I'd like to go with 18's, but wouldn't have a problem with the 17's either.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

New dilemma:
I'd really like the 18s, but getting mixed info on whether they'll fit my car:

CTA-Patrique thinks 18s might be tight.

Tires23 thinks they'll fit no problem (although guy who answered the phone didn't exactly sound like a subject matter expert but at least he asked if someone could call me back...so looking fwd to a better opinion).

Called Tenzo-R in Cali to find out if the 18s would fit on my car (considering I've got the Eibach Prokits installed ...1.25" drop). He hesitated, and said I should probably roll my fenders to be on the safe side.

At the risk of sounding like a total n00b, what are the pros & cons of rolling your fenders? Well more importantly, the cons....
Sure my wheel will now fit and not rub driving in a straight line, but will I now be able to turn freely? or will the wheel/tire still rub the outer edge of my fender? Any consequences in terms of the body work to the inside of the fender other than more space? ie. increased chances of rust or deterioration of any kind?

Thanks for the help everyone!
-Bryan

I have 18's, lowered with Prokits. No problem so far. I was afraid of the dreaded rubbing before, but if your OFFSET is good you should be OK.

Good luck Bro.

both look good, however...
if you want to keep the car simple, go with the 6's
if you are willing to go more aggressive with the car (bodykit etc) then id go with the 10's

Should both fit either way.

DC-6's would look REALLY good on our cars.

I say go for the 18's on the eibach's

thats alot of wheel, but itll look nice imo.
even if you have to roll the fenders to be safe, its worth it!

What are the consequences of rolling the fenders though? If none, then great, but no damage is done to the body work? No increased chances of rust....anything?

What offset are you on?
Dimensions for the Mach-10's are:
18 x 7.5 (42 offset)
17 x 7.0 (42 offset)

I really want to go with the 18s, but not if it'll limit my turning capabilities (ie. parallel parking, U-Turns, hard 90deg turns, etc.)

Thanks,
Bryan

wow....42s ur going to have trouble....45 is the fine line between rubbing and not rubbing...

edit: what size ruber are u planing to use?

From what I gather, rubber'll probably be 215/45/18....

Kevin@nextmod
06-08-2007, 02:09 AM
If you're going to run 215 tires then you're most likely going to be safe.

06-08-2007, 02:12 AM
I can't picture how it'll look though, any feedback on if 215-45-18 will look to "skinny"?
I'm giving myself till end of day tomorrow (Friday) to say Yei or Nei....right now it's 75% YEA! vs. 25% wth are you thinking!

Kevin@nextmod

Mach-10's have just been ordered !!!!!!!
Final decision:
18's wrapped in 225/40/18 General Exclaim UHP's.

Will post pics as soon as they're on.

Oh ...almost forgot...while I was at it, figured I'd order a Vibrant Cat-back as well :P :D

Can't wait!

Thanks again to everyone for their great feedback.

Thanks...i was actually shopping them in the spring as well....finally got to ordering them in June, and took forever for delivery!!!

now the question is:
1) Black calipers with red mazda decal (do they make the caliper decal in red?)
or
2) Red calipers with black mazda decal (i know they make the decal in black)
:)

get black calipers with red decals.
red calipers would take away from the wheels, which look incredible, btw.
they remind of the Volk time attack wheels.

p.s. you need to update ur sig now!!
