Any suggestions for best bang-for-your-buck tire models in 225/40/18?

[edit] Here's a link with a decent listing in that size...any feedback from any of these models?

What are you looking to get from your tires?

Note that I've got a single brand new Toyo Proxes 4 in the classifieds in that size so if you go with those, you'll get one cheap. :chuckle

I'm not looking to take my car to the track, but I do drive probably more aggressively than most (at times). I know performance and tread-life don't usually go hand in hand, but looking for something with a good balance of both. And obviously, the less I can pay, the better, but I'm not expecting these to be cheap.

Well... if you want long life and good performance, then the Proxes 4's are perfect. With all-season rubber, it generally lasts longer.

If you want more grip in the corners though and don't mind replacing them sooner, then definitely get some dedicated summer tires.

Both Genereal Exclaims and the Falken FK452 are hot sellers!

Genereal is a pretty soft tire that will give you quite nice ride comfort.
FK452 is very grippy in both try and wet still with decet tread life.

Let us know if your interested. We stock them both.

Thanks
