So this morning I open up my trunk and I hear something drop into the bottom of the trunk lid. I shut the trunk and whatever it was clanks around again.

After taking of the trunk lid cover and searching around I discover that one of the holds for my LED tailight housing has broken clean off the housing.

There are two bolts on each reverse light housing that a large clip attaches to that 'grabs' the trunk. On my right side only one remains as mentioned the other one broke right off (bolt and clip).

I've contacted the seller, as they are very helpful with this kind of thing and I've had a good experience with them.

But I'm looking for any help. Does anyone have spare inners? Or does anyone have Non-OEM LED inner housings that they didn't use?

I'm in desperate need of help, I don't have my stock tails anymore and I don't want the housing to fall out.

HELP! :blush

Duck tape! j/k ;)

Sorry to hear, I assume the clips are made of some sort of plastic so maybe a reinforce with fiberglass resin can stick the piece together again and provide better strength for the clip.

you can get the fiberglass resin at CT.

Duck tape definitly won't hold it because it has to be strong enough to hold the housing and crush the foam to create a seal. I'm gonna use some "Loctire Super Glue Gel (control)" and see if that works, if not I might (keyword might) try the fiberglass.

I hope I don't have to switch back to OEM inners, but if I can't get any help from Devin or the Original Manufacturer, I might just have to.

Thanks guys....anyone else have any ideas or know where I can find inners?

Well the car is sitting in the garage (mom lost her spot tonight :p) I've got a ton of loctite superglue bonding the plastic together. Tomorrow morning I'm going to put it all together. I think I'll be alright. If not I might be able to thread a double sided screw into the plastic which will hold the broken piece to the plastic. I'm still going to look for a matching part either from Devin98 or online.

Thanks again for your help guys, if this doesn't work be assured I'll try each and every one of your suggestions.

Till then...*locked*
