interesting. Acetone, I'm not going to test it, but if someone else does, keep us posted.

I would be hesitant to put something that burns faster into the mix, maybe opens for the chance of engine parts being worn quickly.

+1.
I was thinking the same thing. Isn't it harmful to the engine parts to add acetone to your fuel. Also, doesn't that void your warranty too? This could be a job for Mythbusters.

heh. The guy even sounds like a snake-oil salesman! :chuckle
Don't try this. You're going to spill some and it's going to eat away your paint. :)
I'm pretty sure you can find plenty of sites to debunk this as well.

some debunking

as i thought from my chem classes these compounds are very corrosive and even in small amounts will reap havoc on your seals esp since when the car is off and the acetone is just sitting there against the seals. i also think some of the mileage claims from acetone can be because the cars tested probably had never seen a bottle of injector cleaner and the strong solvent that acetone is is accomplishing just that.

Consider as well that you have no way of knowing the motivation for making that video.
What if it's some high school media class where the goal is to take some Internet myth and present it as credible?
Just because it's on the Internet, doesn't make it true. :chuckle
