Hi,
I got my 3 for almost a month, and i notice there are quite a few "cracking" noise (like loose parts sound everywhere) sometimes the moonroof cover, sometimes from the back, sometimes from the door. I've tried to remove as much loose articles (like CD cases, junk) as possible out of my car and i still kind of hear those noises.

Is that "normal" or I shouldn't expect that much?

Thankx :)

Oh yeah, one more thing, about how much does it cost to change the honk? coz it sounds kinda whimmmmmpy

I think it costs as much as just you going to canadian tire and buying the horn.

I know that some of the members on this forum were buying horns at the Meet on Wednesday night and were just installing them in the parking lot.

Hopefully one of them can let you know the process. I'm curious as well.

Do a search on this forum on horns.

i never had a problem with issues with 'loose' parts or cracking loses.
i think you should get it checked out.

edit: good luck fixing your car. it sounds like one of those anal problems that are hard to find the true root cause

lo anal problems??? lol
that was a good laugh no offence but trust me i have the same creaking cracking noises (minus the sunroof)

for the doors i found the door panel itself makes the creaking noises

for the rear could be loose aticles in your trunk
check the spare tire hold down.
Highly unlikely but if the rear cracking sounds happen when going over bumps only might be your rear stab links but that sounds more like a clunk.

For the sunroof you may have a rock in the track
Maybe the casette track itself is damaged
Or you may need a glass adjustment if you ae talking about th glass itself banging going up or down (binding)

Hope thathelps

I have lots of noise too! It is normal.

I went for the mazda 6 horn. Cheap! The current one is just tucked in behind the driver side wheel area of the front bumper. Really easy to do.

I have the same problem with creaking noises too. Its difficult to tell where the creaking is originating from but I know its either from my driver's door or the somewhere where the seat belt is located. Anyone know the root cause of the problem and any idea how this problem can be fixed?
