It took us all afternoon and a few hours around midnight to finish the install of Alan's intake, but we pulled it off. Mine already had the lower resonator off (for few months) which also took me a few hours to do. I must say it was ALOT easier to install on the sedan, but a great end result...

... Enjoy the video!

hahaha my neighbours are the BEST! never complain about anything and i am constantly working on my car (or others) late at night.

install took a while for a few reasons. main reason is the "infamous" 3rd bolt on the lower resonator. I used a friends "mini" socket driver when i did mine, but for Alan's we had to take off the entire bumper (i tried for a while without taking it off due to the fact i am stubborn) *lol*

Also, the sport has less room and instead of "snaking" the entire intake through from the top (sedan/mine), we had to carefully hold the filter from underneath while using a loooooooooong extension (multiple actually) to screw the filter to the intake from the top.

needless to say, neither of us have thrown a CEL and i drove up north past orillia last weekend and its perfect! well worth every penny!

Thanks Peter :)

Wow your neighbours are great!! must be nice hahah with my civic (has a full custom exhaust :- headers, 3.5" piping and muffler) anytime the car is started and so much as gets reved.. I get complaints... not to mention how many times when I used to come home with the car that 15 mins later there would be police at my driveway.. kind of a pain in the ass to be honest.. can't wait to do the exhaust on the 3 I'll show them :chuckle

we have soooooo many car enthusiasts on my street that neighbours dont really seem to care anymore. one of my neighbours (good friend of the family) actually HATES hearing civics, but if he hears a mustang or camaro he LOVES it (go figure). We have 3 custom trucks, elantra, cavalier, 2 super-charged civvys and ofcourse my car that constantly people on our street stare at.

On the video there, both Scott and I do not have an aftermarket exhaust on. The sound is from the intake. Go to the Sponsor Section and browse NextMod aka SuperShyGuy aka Peter, and he will take care of you!

*note to all that watched that*

you can't actually really hear a difference when you just rev the car while in park...

you really notice the sound difference when you are moving though.

basically the difference is, when its parked it sounds whiny, and when its moving it growls.

^^ that's why i made the 2 vids so people can hear the difference. I agree, doesnt sound as great unless hearing a drive-by. I tried to just get the interior noise while driving, but it was hard to hear it.

definatey agree though it sounds MEAN when it is moving. I almost never want to stop driving it now :)

Nervous?!?!

I guess, but it was unscripted and I was "winging it" trying to talk about everything i could think of (pretty sure i covered most of it)
