View Full Version : Bloody CEL!

So i got my first CEL, after not even 13000 km. I have 07 sport with LP,mods include a MS Cat back and MS CAI, both dealer installed. It was really wierd because i was pulling out of my parking spot at work, shifted into 2nd and my car started to shake. Then the cel came on along with my battery light. The cel stayed on and the battery light continued to come on only above 4000 rpm and only in second, along with the car shaking. This morning on the way to the dealer the cel was still on and the battery light was coming on all the time when i was accelerating. Well Avante has the car now and lets see what the result is. Anyone have any idea's? has this happened to anyone? I will update the thread once i hear from Avante.

I got my first CEL as well. Luckily with some probing and proding and reseting the computer (disconnecting the battery) I fixed the problem.

Good luck though. Your car is under warantee so I wouldn't worry to much.


EDIT: Was the filter wet? Check the intake, and MAF sensor on the intake.

Nothing to worry about since you got everything installed at the dealer.

So after i got my car back today they told me they found some damaged insulation on some wires on my main wireing harnes. The invoice said some thing about line A. What ever they replaced it under warranty and all is good. Thumbs up to Anthony at Avante for getting me in so quickly.

OMFG!! So my CEL light came on again today... then it went away and then it came back again....looks like i'll be heading in for service again come Tuesday.
