I was wondering if anyone has come up with an idea for those ugly wheel weights (chicklet style) that they put on factory wheels. My wheels look good but the weights rust.
Do you think it would be possible to paint them the wheel color? Anyone have the paint code for the wheel color.

do you mean the stick on type that go on the inside of the rim (as opposed to the lip)??
cuz i have black stick-ons on my aftermarket rims, and there is no signs of rust yet

Yes I guess they just stick on and they go in the inside of the wheel. Mine show rust on them. now when I clean my wheels I use the Mothers Wheel Cleaner and a soft scrub brush and it does clean it but eventually there is a little rust showing or at least what appears to be rust. :werd

Every mechanic I've ever asked has suggested that the old 'hook-style' (for lack of a better term) damages the lips of polished rims and the outside weighted part sometimes broke off resulting in wobbling... if helps any.

the stickies on my wheel (that came originally from mazda) rusted as well. I got new tires and was given the stickies along with the clip-on's.
