Hey i just installed a 12" Sub and amp... IT pounds. Its connected to my stock deck.

I was thinking of replacing jus the front 2 5x7 speakers with two 2 way Alpines..

Will i hear a difference? in terms of more clear mids and highs? or will it be the same as my stock speakers?

Also what is better 2 ways or 4 ways? I want clear .. i mean really clear Mids and hight without distortion!

and what other size speakers will fit in the front besides 5x7 (Our OEM size) ?

you prolly won't notice much being connected to your stock deck, as thats what supplies your speakers the power and such. But you may notice a minimal difference.

...you will get more highs and less mids, you definately need an amp for them, and so do i

I suggest supplying your mids with a 4- channel amp. It will definitely supply more power then your stock deck.

(BTW, I happen to have a 4- channel amp for sale...<shameless plug>... PM me for details)

ICIC... okay soo today i went out and bought a 2Channel Rockford fosgate P200 amp..

I plan on only amping my front 2 speakers and not the back ones due to the amp being only 2 channels...

Do u think it will sound good? or should i replace all the speakers, and run a 4 channel??

Keeping in mind im following a tight budget

i've recently just bought a set of components and rear coaxials....

ive read that most ppl stick to 2 way speakers....argument is up in the air....

i'm powering all 4 speakers off a 4 channel amp....

with that said, all items are in the mail, so i haven't installed anything yet....

i'm still trying to figure out what else i need to buy.

Well if you're that stuck, you can buy me the exact same thing. I'd love you long time.

I replaced my front speakers yesterday with a set of Kenwood componets, and even with the stock deck/no amp it makes a difference, the sound is more clear but less bass (which was expected...). The tweeters make a big difference (I have a GS), brings the "sound stage" higher.
