Hey everybody,
I have the independant fog mod done to my car and yes it does the job for drl's but i have been thinking. What if we could hook up the h7 connector to some type of relay that when the drls are on they are on regardless of the switch position. But when the night lights come on we still have full control oer them. would something like this be possible? Because i know my moms murano has this feature and it would be great to do something like this to our cars. If anyone wnts to study the wiring diagram of themurano feel free but it is controlled by a series of microcomputers :(

So you want to run your HID's full time?

So you want to run your HID's full time?

no thats not what i want

current setup:
independant fog mod
hid's hooked up to parking lights

What i would like:
fogs wired so that during the day the fogs are NOT controllable by the switch on full time and only when the headlights are turned on can the fogs be controlled by the fog switch.

I attempted putting a relay on to the drl wire and all it does is buzz because there is not wnough voltage to flick the switch.
Any help would be appreciated

I don't think that's possible with just wiring. What I have right now is independent fog mod but Hid's run off the high beam wire instead of parking lights wire. So I have no highbeam, don't know how you could get that to work.

just don't turn the fogs off during the day ;)
here's how i have mine:
indy fog mod
hid's triggered by parking light
on off switch inline to the ground of the HID relay

i can have fog only
fog and parking light
fog, parking light and HIDs
parking light and hids
parking light and high beam
parking light, fog and high beam
and all of them on

i think that's all the combinations i can do.

yes i understand to leave them on costantly but i am just thinking about down the road when the car has to be safetied again because when you buy a car out of a lease the car must be recertified. I dont think the indy fog mod will fly :(. And if i smehow crack this it may solve our drl issue over all. Atleast all vehicles from 04-06
