wiper chatter

Has anyone experienced chatter with their stock wipers? My car is brand new and when the wipers came on during the rain, they weren't gliding across the windshield. They were stuttering the whole time on both the up and down sweeps. You can actually see the wiper marks on the windshield.

I plan to ask the dealership to do something about it, but I hope it's not gonna be a continuing problem. I'm also afraid the dealer will tell me something like "the chatter will go away after time" and not do anything about it. I figured I should at least get new blades or arms to start.

I should also mention that I did turn the wipers to off to wait for more water to build up before using it, and still there was some chatter. When left on auto wiper the chatter is really bad.

They sucked. I bought Bosch Icon wipers when my stockers were brand new. End of problem, even at 140kph, they wipe perfectly!

try clean the wipers with paper towel and a cleaning agent. I used windex.
My paper towel turned black no matter how many times i did it. I stopped after 10 times on each wiper. My wiper stopped skipping afterwards.

I've no idea how it worked. i just worked for me.

yeah just buy those frameless (i.e reflex, viewmax wipers) .....the stock ones are really bad....

check to see if the arms look bent. they arent very strong.

Luckily the dealer was able to reproduce the problem, they put in some new blades and said it's fine now.

I haven't tested it out myself but hopefully it really was a blade problem, cuz those things you need to replace eventually anyways.
