So I've had my car in for some problems lately, and upon getting it back a week later, the lights on my instruments (specifically speedo, RPM's and gas gauge) is WAY brighter than they used to be. I keep my lights on auto all the time (so at night it's orange on blue), and in the past I've been able to dim my dash lights all across the board. Upon trying this now, only the blue part dims and the orange remains extremely bright. I find it very distracting when I'm driving because it really wears on my eyes.

Now, I haven't had to dim my lights since I bought my car, but I'm 99% sure that i used to be able to dim everything in the car...can anyone confirm this for me, because I'm going blind???

I don't know what they did, but the orange on my stereo and steering wheel buttons is what it used to be (ie. perfect amount of light).

Heather,

You can dim the cluster lights by pressing the protruding dial just on top of the clusters. There should be 4-5 presets that change the intensity of the orange light. There are two dials, one is for the lights and the other is for reset/switching trip kms. You can also dim the whole interior lighting by using the dimmer dial located at the bottom left side (where there plastic blanks).

thanks...they always fiddle with all my buttons and I hate it! I didn't even know you could push the dial (I just know when I used the dial currently, it only dims the blue, not the orange). I will try it out tomorrow, thanks!

And wait..there are two dials? I've never seen two....
hah, don't tell me I've had this car for 3 years and have missed a dial/button somewhere!

its a button, to the left of your trip reset button on your cluster
