I am running stock RS-A P205/50R17 and I want to buy new tires.

I was told that because this size is an odd size for tires and therefore, I don’t get a lot of choices.

I assume I can fit a different size tires on the same rims but I want to know what the consequences are. All I know is that the last number has to be 17 in order to fit on my rims but I don’t know about the other numbers. I’ve read the FAQ thread but I don’t know what will fit.

My budget is about $800 installed. Kuhmo ASX and Pirelli P6 were suggested to me. Anyone used these?

we have some sponsors who sell tires, u can shoot them a pm

often people here switch to a 215/45/17
i am sure the speedo is a bit off, but it is probably negligable, i haven't preformed the calculation,

if u search u can find tires size calculators and comparison tools, that will tell u how far out ur speedo will be with various tire size changes!

good luck with ur tires purchase

Going from a 205 to a 215 isn't a big difference at all. It's like 2mm difference. Won't mess up your speedo enough to even notice.

With $800 you can get a set of RT615's installed and balanced easily.

I'm new to this tire stuff myself, but just last week had my tires changed to 215/45/17 Falken 912s. Check out this place

Bought a set for $470, install + balance. Service was fast, 20 minutes. Haven't had any problems yet.
