Been using this forum for a few weeks now, so I might as well introduce myself.

Bought a Mazda 3 2007 Carbon Grey Mica GS in July. Not too particular about extra features, that's why I chose the base model. My thought was to get new rims, fogs, and HIDs and I'll be happy plus I'll save a ton of money.

Right now I got my new rims, and still looking for the perfect set of fogs. HIDs on the way next week from Devin.

Pretty happy overall with the car, save the mileage. Might be due to the way I drive, but my old 2000 Corolla did slightly better on the gas. Also, I wish the engine sounded a bit more mean. I love the way the RSX sounds, and just can't replicate that with my 3.

One regret was not getting the 5 speed MT.

Nice to meet you all!

Oh yea, my toss up when buying my car was between the 3 and a Mustang.

Welcome to the board. There's a huge difference between the 3 and the Mustang. Not the least of which is cost.

haha yea, the price was a big factor for me. But I've wanted a Mustang since I was a kid

Welcome to the board. Just think, with the money you'll save driving the 3, you'll be able to save for a mean Mustang like a Shelby GT500KR!

Welcome to the board.. I went from a '99 Corolla to a Mazda 3 Sport GS as well

I have noticed the mileage difference too :chuckle

but the 3 has a helluva lot more power and more displacement.. so you have to expect it to be a bit more thirsty
