Speakers Basics?!

Can someone explain to me the basics of car audio speakers? I mean, I am a newbie and I want to find out what the differences are between, component and coaxial and multi-axial and integrated speakers. More importantly, when to install what type of speakers. I am still deciding what kind of speakers to buy to upgrade my sound system.

I have decided on buying a 4-channel amp with two front speakers to start. Then maybe when I save enough money, I will change the back 2 speakers afterwards.

Hmm....I guess you can Google a lot of things that are talked about here but I was looking for input from my fellow Mazda 3 forum users. Although I would be able to find information on what is a component speaker VS a coaxial speaker, I don't think I would get much in terms of what kind of speakers to put in a car information.
