It just happen today, when I was in my gf's car and she's going through a car wash. A few sprays from the back of the sunroof was all there is. At first we thought we didn't close the sunroof all the way, but we confirmed it right away that it was closed to the max.

Is this a common problem for Mazda3s? I've never heard of it happening before.

No problem with mine. I've heard it happen on a few cars but haven't heard of a rash of them.

The same thing happened to my friend with his Mazda 6. I think it's just the pressure of the spray that gets between the weather stripping. I don't go through car washes so I can't say if it would happen with me.

wipe the edges of your sunroof clean of any dirt and debris. (the body colored portions) your sunroof has to be open to do this.

Just take it in... There is a fix for this. Had mine done. I had the same thing. I was resting my hand on the shifter in neutral going through an esso wash once and it felt like someone spit on my arm. I took it in and asked and the guy said no prob we'll fix it. He said I wasn't the first. :) So I am sure they'll fix yours!

Happens to me. Happened with my two sisters 3's as well. I just stopped going through those car washes.

Happened a few times in some high pressure washes. Clean up the edges that seal against the body, that helped with mine. Avoid high pressure washes as well.

Or just get it fixed under warranty and not have the problem ever again.

You know it is going to piss ya off in 4 years when it leaks worse and you are off warranty.

i din't realize that this was much of an issue with other members.

I have had this happen on several occasions and just thought that it was the high pressure wash. i will have to take it in.

Although i am not sure if Northwood will do anything. I just get a bad feeling about them. I would rather make an appt at MOT and drive down there, cuz i know that they would take care of it properly.

will have to wait for my next day off in the very near future.
