When im drive normal and im taking my foot off the clutch (mainly in first and second gear) the clutch seems to vibrate as it comes out. Any ideas on what it could be? and do you know how much its going to be to fix?

My car has about 32000 km on it but im sure the lady before didnt know how to drive stardard at all, so she prolly rode the clutch alot.

Ive heard people say,
"your clutch is burning out"
"one of the bearings is shot"
"its normal"

I get this too... but it's my first manual transmission. So I always thought this is normal...

I too have this problem. I usually only feel it when starting in first gear though. I never had this problem with my P5.

flywheel warpage possibly, worst case scenario... or could be some issue with disc/flywheel mating

The vibration seems to be gone after I put on the Corksport Motor Mount Insert. I haven't experience the vibration for couple weeks after that, not really sure, let see.

BTW, do you guys sometimes ride on the clutch abit longer than usual when switching gear especially in 1st gear or AC is on, I found the vibration could be reproduced if I do that.

I never noticed any vibration in my clutch. This doesn't sound normal.

I SOMETIMES feel it, but the engagement point is generally the same. It just doesn't feel as smooth.

Are you giving it enough gas. If the AC is on or defrost it will shutter like you got a 104 fever unless you give her fuel.

Yes, the longer you ride on the clutch, the worser the vibration is, my car is new too, I hate that vibration so damn much, its like a pager is welded to the pedal or something and it keeps on vibrating.

You guys can try to change the rear engine mount (Tranmission Mount), I got it on for 3 weeks now, absolutely no clutch pedal vibration since then, I'm one happy man now, my Corksport insert is only $52 shipped + $20 for installation (DIY is free)

Maybe it's clutch chatter?

It happens when you ride your clutch too much and burn it.

Hi Guys. I'm a noob here. Just registered today. I have noticed this vibration myself in the past couple of days. Always when I depress the clutch, always in low gear (shifting from first to second, sometimes from second to third). Come to think of it, I think I have had the rear defrost on for the most part, given the inclement weather we have had in T.O. the last couple of days. Do you think there is a connection? Oh. BTW, my 3 is an '06, black mica, with the black/red interior Sport. I have just over 15,000 kms on her. Don't do a lot of long distance driving on this one. We have a Toyota Camry we use as the family car. So, why is this occurring with such limited mileage on it? I have an appointment with Mazda of Toronto next Tuesday to have them look at it. I have a pretty good relationship with the folks at the service dept, and I do trust what they say. They have not steered me wrong yet! LOL.
Any comments?

The trans is moving around - too much -
I bought the Trans mount inserts from CorkSport..... No more vibrations AT ALL!!!!! I highly recommend doing this -
My 04 GT3 would vibrate when taking off in first gear ----- and vibrate when down shifting as well........ I have been driving standard for over 10 years and this is the first car to exhibit this, very frustrating ----- I thought the clutch was going out -----
Mazda/Ford is using the softest engine mounts in this other wise great car---- what idiots!------ Design a great little car, market it using "Zoom Zoom" mentality ---- and install mounts that are mean for a buick........?

So far I have replaced the #3 Mount <passenger side>--- It completely failed <You can buy the new mount at your mazda dealer----$100--- the new mounts are solid, not liquid filled.
And you can buy a new trans mount or the inserts what ever you desire.......
Just get them both replaced , they are the weak link in a great car....... Especially if you are a 5 speed driver....... every day you will thank your self...:)

I did the install myself --- took about 1 hour for both.........you will need a jack for under the engine, and maybe a friend to lend a hand.
----- Do not let the engine drop too much during the install, you can damage/pinch your A/C lines

Has anyone with an auto had this issue?
I had a little run in with another car and I feel a vibration in the gas pedal since...

Could it be that the trannsy somehow shifted from the impact?

K so this is JUST happening to me today EXCEPT i feel it in every gear. Only when shifting from gear to gear do i feel it. If it is in neutral and then i shift into gear, it does not vibrate. The clutch vibrates as i press on it and as I let off. What is the reason why? Is my clutch slipping? Its really annoying because I never felt it before but its been happening all day today. Furthermore, my comprehensive warrenty just ended. Im at 54k right now

Anyone can help me?

Has anyone had this resolved by a dealer?

I have the exact same issues with a 2010 Mazda 3 (clutch vibrating especially when letting off clutch, worse when on long trip). It is driving me mad. Already had the clutch replaced by dealer which solved one problem with clutch vibration, but the vibration when engaging clutch persists. The car has now done about 2500km, but it has done it since new. The dealer doesn't seem to notice the problem, but on some occasions the vibration is so bad it is enough to turn me off driving it altogether.

i have to pay attention next time i go out... a slight vibe is normal, should be the same you feel in the seat, steering wheel, etc.
The tip about not giving it enough gas is true though.

I get this too! For me, it seems to be only when it's cold...you just have to ride it a bit to make it stop...once it's warm, the shuttering is gone.
