Had my '06 mazda3 2.0L Sport package for a year.

4 months and 13000km into ownership I had a grind from 2nd to 3rd in my manual tranny. After 5 visits to my local st. catharines mazda dealer they finally just gave me a new tranny. I am now up to 36,000km and no issues at all. They cuoldnt figure out what the problem was so they sent the whole thing to mazda canada and gave me a new one. At the time the ontario rep for mazda had to come to the dealership to take a look because it was at the time the first tranny that had to be replaced on an '06 mazda3. Probly because I am only 22 and they wanted to make sure it was a defect and not me driving like an ass... (which was not the case.. thats what the gsxr750 is for duhhh)

So then... everything is fine now?

When I read the title, I thought maybe you had a nasty surprise with a new gf or something... :chuckle

All of the 3 Sports for 2006 had the 2.3L engine. Do you have a sedan?

I think he meant2.0L Mazda 3 w/sport package, so a GS sedan with sunroof and 16" alloys.

Correct its a 2006 3 with the 2.0L and the sport pack has the 16"'s sunroom and ABS breaks...

________

Yes everything is perfectly fine now, no issues since... the only thing that has gone wrong with my car to date..
