View Full Version : Customer Service should never mess with their own employees

Alex has internet, phone; Satellite tv with a different company.
His own company's cable man went on his property and disconnected everything, there must of been a mix up of some sort. Alex calls in to TV dept and asks this to be fixed. They say he doesn't have a TV account with them and transferred him to the phone dept. They transferred him back and forth once or twice. Finally internet took up the responsibility and said they'd send someone in a week. Alex states this is unacceptable, the call center lady says this is the best you can do and tries to get him to call his TV provider to fix it. (But his tv provider didn't screw it up). Alex asks to speak with the supervisor, she won't transfer him. Alex looks her up in the company directory and finds her supervisor. He tells her I'm gonna call your supervisor, she shrugs it off with a laugh. Alex hands up and calls the supervisor.
Not sure what the call center lady got for her treatment of the customers but the supervisor is sending someone to fix it by tomorrow. The supervisor is a nice guy.
Alex doesn't want to be named, so I didn't use his real name or company name. You guys should be able to deduce who the internet/phone provider is.

heh, ouch.
While it is always frustrating to deal with customer service, especially if they screwed something up for you (especially from "Alex's" position), I can't help but slightly feel sorry for him, lmao.

Bell sent me to a collections agency 8 months after we cancelled with them. They sent us 3 bills saying we owed $0 and then after 6 months they sent a bill telling us we owed over 6 months worth of late fees plus the 6 months of the regular fees. We called and waited on hold for over an hour and were told it was all taken car of a month later a collections agent is calling saying we are 8 months behind in our payments and we need to pay by the end of the week. Thank heavens my mother works for Bell and was able to put me in contact with someone who fixed their error.

Truthfully speaking... from most companies I'd say I would be surprised.. from Rogers.... not at all...!!! I hate them... they make me sick... there stupidity... astounds me.. and their complete disregard for customer satisfaction and customer service to the point where it is absolutely pathetic....
The last time I had a war with Rogers.. it was because I got a bill for my cell phone for $300 which is retarded.... when I took a look at the bill, I was overcharged for text messages and my evening minutes.... as only 5 weeks earlier I had made changes to the account to increase both..... when I called in to find out what the hell was going on I was told, that the last employee did not change my account information :flaming needless to say I was pissed.... because this was not the first time I'd been screwed like this twice before by them.... the guy I was talking to was really nice and I had all the information from the last girl I spoke with... so the guy said he'd get his manager on the phone to discuss the matter further.... the supervisor came on and laughed stating there was nothing he could do and it wasn't his problem....
Now for all of you who dont know I work in customer service myself... and couldn't believe how shit**y this service was to laugh at me.. was retarded.... so I asked for another supervisor in which I was laughed at again... so I hung up.... waited till the next day and called back... knowing their calls are recorded.... for "quality purposes" I spoke with another rep explained the situation and then spoke with another supervisor... this time I was taken seriously, the supervisor took down the name and date of the first call to them.. plus the time date and name of the supervisor I spoke with and asked me if they could call me back on my cell. So an hour goes by and I'm starting to get even more pissed... and I get a call apologizing for the delay.. but they were able to pull the call from the day before and the supervisor will be written up for their actions... then I was told that they were unable to find the call from about a month ago... but they have discussed it with the manager.. and they are going to honour the original plan I mentioned because of the fact that I've been a customer for just over 10 years... this I hafta say was kind of nice.... so they put a credit back on the account and for the bad customer service I got sent a voucher to be used for a free accesory for my cell phone.... First time they were ever so professional....
however.. I still hate them... for "canada's clearest network and with the fewest dropped calls" makes me wonder how bad the other providers are!!!!
Cuz I get no signal in tons of places.....

u probably aid in the political call center wars! ahaha
Roger's product is better than most competitors. Service does suck sometimes.
Im just dreading the day I have to move. im hoping there will be no screw ups
