View Full Version : HID H11 bulbs don't fit my fogs!! 04-06 sedan !! HELP ME!

i got a h11 bulb but it doesn't fit through my fogs there is the projector that just is blocking me from pushing it in more!!!
did i get the wrong type of bulb????
can someone help me !!!!!!!!
what fits it!!!!!!!!!

there shouldnt be a projector lens in our fog assemblies.

Phoenix, are you sure that it is the "projector"? Double check that the base is aligned properly as there is only one way that the bulb can be installed. I got the H11's as well and it fits fine on m '04.

I think he means the blackish "protector" that is covering the front of the light to reduce glare.
The '07 has this as well, except that the front part is open and only the sides are covered.
You might have to reach in there and bend it back and forth a few times until it breaks off. I know people who install LED fog lights do this.
However, I didn't have to do this on my '07 so don't take my word for it. :)

I have had the same problem with my HID fogs.
One the bulb itself, there is a metal wire which protects the tip of the bulb. You can CAREFULLY bend that wire to sit flush on the bulb.
For HID fogs, i wouldn't recommend moving the cap as posted above. When you remove the cap you will have more "hot spots," and consequently, blind oncoming traffic.

That's a good point. My HID fogs ('07) do not have the front cap, but do have the side caps. So that is definitely a possibility.
