Thanks Supershyguy for the test fit. I know what size wheels I'm getting next year!!
Front 19x9.5 +40mm 275/35-19 (I would buy a 275/30-19)
Rear 19x8.5 +43mm 245/35-19 (I would buy 235/35-19 and get +48 )
Marco was there when I was test fitting everything and he helped me see if I could get it to rub, all in all everything fit ok, but it's not what I would buy for as a final product. Thanks to Supershyguy for loaning his wheels.

Shoehorn fit!
Did you test it over some bumps?

Yeah they may work on flat pavement but once you hit the roads and then some bumps your likely gonna hve issues.

Not only that... but for the price you're going to pay for those tires, you should not be staggering them like that. At least give yourself the option of tire rotations.
What's the stock tire size for an MS6?

damn those are rubber bands man...
but its mad sick that you put that wide of a tire...
uhhhhhh....can I try it on my mazda3?
I know I wont turn but hell....that would like neat on my ride...
you are so lucky to have that wide in the rear...
I know 9.5 is asking to much....but I want 8.5 inches wide in the rear LOL!!! no wait make that all around....
(yeah okay let the jokes begin but I dont care I want 8.5 inches in the rear or the front, yeah I want it all around)

Those are my wheels, they are from a 2001 JDM RX-7, they are 16x8 +50mm and weigh in at 14lbs. I have 225/50-16's on them now, I had 245/45-16 race tires on before, but I needed new tires and the 245 size wasn't available in the tire I wanted at the time. So when my current set wear out I'm going back to the 245's.
The tires on the 19's are not the proper diameter for the Mazda6. That's why I said in the post I would buy the following sizes, but the tires fit fine otherwise. Marco was there and helping me jump on the back on the car to get it to rub and it just touched in the rear, hence why I mentioned getting a higher offset.
I would be a great setup but they don't offer sticky enough rubber in those 19" sizes. If they had RT-615's in that size you can bet I would have a set on the car right now.

wow.....you fitted the rear rims to the front.....BUT they are directional tires....haha you have it the wrong way.....:)
But they look nice on your car no doubt.
I noticed that too... but wasn't sure if it was me that missed something...

Why would you get skinnier back tires?

There are 2 reasons. Those are SSG's rims, and he drives a RWD car, and because of that his rear tires must be larger in diameter then the front to gain more traction. Second reason is if he put those 275 tires in the back of the mazda6, it will stick out too much and it will rub for 100% sure. So he put them in the front cause FWD needs traction in the front so he might as well.

Ohh ok, that makes sense. I thought I wasn't aware of something.

Lol, ya looks good but definitly going to rub on the street!! I highly advice you not to run that settup on your car.

Yeah the 275 stuck way out the rear, I'm sure with a different offset it would worth thought. Something along the lines of +55 but then again I don't think they make that.
There is also a going strategy now that a narrower rear tire than the front on a Front Wheel Drive car will decrease understeer.

Taking away grip from the rear certainly wouldn't be my first choice in dialing out understeer!! I'd much rather change the suspension dynamics to make full use of all traction rather than just taking away some from the back!
WW for sure. But if you'd like to try it theory, the Pontiac Grand Prix GXP was the first production car to pull this off and has been doing so with success acording to reviews. Although I do agree with you in that proper suspension would make a world of differance.

I already have my rear stiffer then the front, as well as an alignment that is over-steer prone, this is just the next level.

And you're still getting understeer??
