For some reason my pics were deleted on my old thread with this... So I decided to post up again.

Hey RJ3

I have a similr deck and would like to know
thanks man

Yes... They had to remove the small vents to cool/warm the passangers at the back. Since no one rides at the back I didn't really care that they had to remove them.

It clears the shifter about 2 inches... Looks like its gonna hit but it doesn't. Just dont open the deck while in 3rd or 5th.. Because your screen will hit the shifter.

I took out my stock deck and put a screen, unless u got a cd changer that u can hook up to your after market deck there isnt really any reason for u to keep it.

I left my stock deck.... For visual appearence, and the stealth look for anyone looking at my car..... The face is detachable, so the only thing you see is a theft deterrent light on thedeck.... At night... I love how the stock deck illuminates the dash.... Its non functional excluding the clock and playing with the radio... Just no sound comes out, but I kept the stock stereo for the looks. Ask anyone whose seen my deck, and they rather keep the stock, and put add ons. Also, I had my HU located there so its not visually distracting while driving..... The Mounted GPS I have is small and it gets a little distracting... What more would a 7" lcd screen is?

I don't need a cd changer, if your deck supports mp3s, and mpegs

if you don't mind me asking how much was it for the custom work?

Talk to Davis at selective sound. He did mine at a fairly good price.... I dont know if they improved on design but the price that time was around 100-150 dollars to have it done.

See if Davis can help you out, and tell him RJ3 sent ya. If hes online he knows who i am ;)

Anyone knows if this can be done on models with seat warmers, the deck location is where the seat warmer buttons are located.

Pop off the dash strip (either the cf or the piano black) and then follow the screws. Really easy. You could get it out in under 5 mins.

I pre-crimped the harness for my new deck before removing the old and I was able to remove, connect the new harness and have the new deck in and secure in under 15 mins.

If you are really unsure come to the oakville meet on thursday and I am sure one of us could do it for ya.

you will need either a swi-ps or swi-x
swi-ps (http://cgi.ebay.ca/PAC-SWI-PS-UNIVERSAL-STEER-WHEEL-CONTROL-PIONEER-SONY_W0QQitemZ230239101104QQihZ013QQcategoryZ14932 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

swi-x (http://cgi.ebay.ca/PAC-SWI-X-UNIVERSAL-STEERING-WHEEL-CONTROL-INTERFACE_W0QQitemZ280213770527QQihZ018QQcategoryZ 60208QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

the difference is that the swips is for wired in remotes which works well. i have it in my car and love it. the swix uses infrared which is not as responsive

Hello everyone, just thought you'd want to see some pictures of my set up.
Did it myself, took about a week or so. Steel plate, black paint.
