^^ your in the right monty, you posted this in the MS section, so therefore stock rims in this section are 18's!
Monty, are you thinking about buying MS3? If yes, wait until 2008.5 models come out. Actually I think you can order them now. But I think you need to wait at least until March, April to actually be in one.

I'm sure they would look sweet. Most rims look awesome in gunmetal. I was just thinking about my stock 17's in gunmetal this morning.

There are many pictures of guys powdercoating their rims black on Mazda3Forums. Here's a different approach.

Not a big fan of it myself.

I dont like the stickers and the red behind the rims.
I think it would look good if it was all black, and only the brakepads were red!
Gunpowder would look good on white I think.
Vlad, got pics???
Garu, do you know of any updates in the 08.5 vs. the 07?
I'm not sure how many of these features will get jacked in Canadian model, but looking at the US 08.5 model, that's quite a bit of changes.

BTW...anyone know how much it would cost to do it? And a good reputable location people have had experience with?

you are looking around $300 to have the wheels sand blasted and then powder coated. Blastal coating services for the sandlasting, and then spectrum for the powder coat.

Really?? I know Carcone's does excellent work, but I think they charge around $500 for a set of wheels these days!
Two of my winter wheels have a bit of corrosion around the hubs. I'd love to get them refinished in gunmetal like my previous winter wheels... but can't justify the cost right now.

500 is out of my price range!!!

I know JPAV8S4U recently had his rims sandblasted and powder coated at the places I recommend. He had them done flat black, and ended up paying around $300 all in.

Hmmm thanks S.F.W. good to know!
Have a question if anyone knows:
The black MS3 above and the Silver MS3 above; for some reason the rims on the silver one look like they have a different texture...
Or maybe just different colour?
Or am I going blind:S
If you compare the rim to the tire on both, the rims on teh silver speed look a little lighter I think? That's the exact colour and texture I'm going for...

the black one is mine and it is a photochop so just likely not an accurate view of what it would really look like
