Deck Placement

hey guys,

i really dont wanna take out the stock head unit cuz its so big and it'll look kinda weird with just a deck in there. I have a few questions on buying a new deck.

Could be put where that little compartment is under the cigarette lighter?

Will the stock LCD screen still work?

And by dissconnecting the stock head unit will i get any engine check lights on or any problems, cuz my freind is a mechcanic and he said if he were to dissconnect his stock head unit (on a colbalt SS) it would scerw stuff up

disconnecting the stock head unit won't throw any codes...i can confirm that...(havn't had stock HU for almost 2 years)
you CAN mount it in teh ashtray area...Lockdown, one of our board sponsors are more than willing to help you with it...

just curious how much did you pay to get the deck mounted there??
