Couldn't find any threads in this entire forum about wiper blades, which I find strange, so I'm starting a new one here (is this the right forum?). I have 2 -yr old Mazda 3 GT with only 7,500 km on it (yes, you read that right, 7,500 Km). The blades are scraping along the windshield even when the rain is coming down pretty heavily. During a regular oil change on Saturday, my dealer, without even looking at them, said they needed to be replaced, so he "supposedly" replaced them and charged me $20/per. These "new" ones are scraping worse than the originals. A) Can someone recommend a 3rd party blade that is fabulous and B) what size wiper do I need (the user's manual does not give this info). Thanks.

Reflex are fine, can get them at any Canadian Tire. I believe one is 20" and the other 21".

Thanks, condor for the quick reply. I need to be 110% certain that I buy the right size; are you sure that it's 20 and 21"? In the US we have Bosch blades which are the best, doesn't CT have those? Is there a better automotive store than CT?

I'm not 100%, however there is book by the blades with the sizes. CT does not carry Bosch from what I understand, however you might be able to find then at a specialty parts store. I just went to CT due to my own laziness.

the blades are 21" and 19" . I am 100% certain, as I just changed my wiper blades.

Yeah, although the book says 20" for the drivers side, you can get away with 21" without any issues.

If new blades were put on and you still have scraping noise worse, perhaps your windshield is pitted or dirty.
Might want to consider cleaning the windshield with a good commercial cleaner to see if that resolves your problem.
You might want to try Rain-X after cleaning to see if that helps also.

If you are still getting scraping with new blades. Then maybe your wiper arms have been slightly bent or damaged, That's what happened to mine. I replaced the passenger wiper arm and have had no problems since.

if your going to walmart there are viewmax frameless wipers get 19" and 22" the 21 is actually a little shorter you can get away with a little more clearing any bigger than 22 you'll have problems

^^^I agree! Go to CT or Walmart and get this windshield cleaner: Auto Glass Stripper. It will remove road grime and oily residues (such as old layers of Rain-X) very easily!

How do you get the wiper blades off? I bought the michelin blades but can't figure out the procedure to get old ones off.

The stock arm is a hook style. If you're doing the rear, you'll have to pop off the plastic covering the pivot point.
Check YouTube for videos covering wiped installation if you still are having issues.
I know there are videos on installation from Silblade so that should give you an idea of how the blades are attached.
