Hey I was just wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong. First of all my car whe in gear (auto) when stoped at a light, will idol at 500 rpm (700-850rpm normal) and then dip down too 300 and then try to rev its sell back up and then cut out and stall. This problem started about a month ago, after I changed my wepon-R air filter for a K&N on my aftermarket short ram intake. It wasnt till a few days later that I discovered this problem. I have been to 2 Machanics and both have said I have to put my stock intake back in, but I dont know how to and if I got them to do it it would be $80. Both places said they cant be certain but they think this might be a damaged mass airflow sensor. I called Oakville mazda but they said they wont touch anything aftermarket. I was told about Dave Wood Mazda and how good they are with helping people with aftermarket stuff. Dose any body have any suggestions towards what I should do? or has anyone been to Dave Wood Mazda?
Thank you,
Danny
When I had my Injen CAI in my car I always went to Mississauga Mazda on Erin Mills north of Britannia. Talk to Tiffany the service manager and she'll take care of you. Tell her another guy from the forum had the same problem with a black hatch that always came in for MAF sensor problems. She'll know... She always went out of her way to fix it. It is only 15 min drive from Oakville Mazda.
It always turned out to be a loose wire from my MAF sensor or a loose wire from my computer. I eventually took it out.
It is much easier than you think to put the stock one back in... I did it myself and it was my first time attempting it... the hardest part was taking the bumper off and even that was easy!
Fire any questions my way and I can try to help.

Check the MAF sensor connector.... Try and put it to drive, accelerate and let go... If your car shakes like mad... Theres a problem with your MAF... Maybe a loose wire/pin on the connectors.
I had a similar problem but with Manual trans.
Vito is the man!
