Yak home phone - Opinions needed!?!

Hey,

I'm thinking of switching from a Bell home phone (and possibly DSL) to Yak.ca.

As we all know, Bell's customer service and pricing suck. They keep rasing my montly rate for both long distance and recently, my DSL.

Yak's pricing seems right but I'm still a little hesitant because their ads are ghetto and only seem to be on during really trashy TV shows... I'm also having a difficult time tracking down user reviews online.

Does anybody have any experience with Yak?

Any experiences you could relate to me are much appreciated!

No experience with Yak but we made the move from Bell and an indepenent ISP a liitle over a year ago to Primus. We get a full range of phone stuff (voice mail etc.), free long distance across Can and US any time of day and high speed internet for $70 a month. I would recommend checking them out.

i personally wouldnt go for yak due to their recent and very annoying commercial.

i've dealt w/ yak for long distance in the past and the people there have no clue what they're doing. I'd steer clear.

They call it Talk Broadband so I think it is VOIP but I didn't have to do anything to my phone, kept my number (from Bell) and there was no change in the quality.
