I have 5 bolt 15" Honda rims think they will fit on my 2.3L mazda3 maybe due to diff offset?
15" rims are too small for the 2.3, they won't clear the breaks
Probably won't fit.
Make sure you have the right bolt circle 114.3, as well as an offset between 42 & 52.
Also, you need 16" to clear the brakes on a 2.3.
EDIT: ^^^16" min, not 17.

come on Dave, you should know 16's fit fine. That's what 90% are running for winters.
Whoops I must have slipped. 16s are needed not 17s :S heck I'm running 16s!!!
Its 15" min for 2.0, 16" for 2.3 and 17" for Mazdaspeed.
Having said that 15" won't fit on a 2.3L.
What kind of Honda rims are they. A lot of people run CRV steelies for winters.

but these are honda rims think there would be enough clearence since its diff offset?
Depends...do you have any numbers?
The main thing is to make sure the bolt circle is the same. If it is throw em on and test em out if they fit without rubbing.

honda center bore is smaller than that found on the mazda 3.
You will need a 67.1 hub bore or use hub rings for a larger diameter

The Honda 5 bolt rims will not fit.
Although they are 5x114, the bore is where the issue lies.
I purchased a set towards the end of last year from (remain nameless) here on the forums. He advised me that he was selling it for his friend. They both confirmed that the rims will fit without any issues. His friend even went as far as to say they put them on a Mazda3 and drove around the parking lot with them to make sure they ride smoothly.
Long story short, the next day after I purchased them... I took them to the shop to have them installed. The bore of the rims were a couple of mm's too small. I tried contacting the guy back who sold me the rims, but he kept on dodging me. After a few more calls later in the week, he just ignored my calls over all.
Yes, I know what you are all thinking.... "BUYER BEWARE".
Thats horrible man! Feel free to PM the admin with regards to this matter... if we cannot help you maybe we can protect others from shady sellers.

Trust me, they will definitely not fit unless the bore is machined out.
Check back for a previous thread dating back to beginning/ middle of December in the for sale section......
I learned the hard way.
I've basically accepted the fact that I lost the money and taken a hit financially.

Note that you can't use hub rings on larger diameter bored OEM wheels without some machining. They won't have the tapered lip on them that aftermarket wheels have. I suppose you could custom make some rings that will work... but again, you need a machine shop for that.

If you are trying to get the honda wheels to fit on your 3, hub-centric rings won't help. You are better off selling them and getting wheels that fit or machining them to increase the centerbore size.
