Goodmorning all,

I took a road trip to NYC this weekend and naturally my 6 month old Mazda 3 SPORT decided to start having car issues. In the 3 times since Friday that I refueled and then turned on my vehicle, it would not turn over/or would turn over and then idle violently for a good 3 minutes before idling normally. There was no issue turning it on any other time, it only seems to be an issue after I fill the tank up.

Any suggestions? I'm really quite disappointed to be experiencing ANY kind of trouble in the first 6 months after purchasing my first brand new car. I'm going to contact the dealership and make an appointment for later in the week I think. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I've made sure to keep up with all proper maintenance.

Thanks

Do you fuel all the way to the top and even go a couple more clicks? Possible overfueling issue?

First time it ever happend was on Friday and now it's happened everytime since. No, I don't ever go over the top. Thanks for reading though.. I'm really quite frustrated, going to take it in tomorrow I think.

I'm guessing issues with Vacuum or MAF....not big issues. The dealer will help you out. Its a pain, but at least its under warantee. Most likely an easy fix.

Here's hoping. Thanks, at least now I can be a little optimistic.

A vacuum leak with the purge valve solenoid.
