if i get 18's on my 3 can i still use lowering springs to lower the car 1 or 2 inches? or is the change of tire size from 16 to 18's going to affect that? :loco

If you get the proper tire size, the overall size of the wheel/tire combination doesn't change, so it has no bearing on whether you can lower the car.

Of course, with less sidewall, the ride will be a bit harsher since the sidewall absorbs some of the bumps. With the addition of the stiffer springs, you may or may not like the ride.

Get the proper offset in the rims, I made that mistake but it turned out ok

If you have an 18x7.5, make sure your offset is between +45 and +50. If you buy an 18x8, try and aim for a minimum +48 wheel... putting either size with a 225-40-18 will enure that even with the drop you will be A-OK.

Let me know if you have any other question,
