Harman Kardon 810 GPS

Anyone used one of these? Looks damm sleek n sexy :chuckle not sure about it though because I guess Garmin has a name for itself in the market but this one has the iDrive type twisty knob.

Reading through some of the reviews on the BB site, it sounds like it the maps are poor and are very difficult to get map updates. That's a big negative in my book.

The brand is very popular in audiophile circles. This is the first I've ever heard it mentioned with respect to a GPS though.

I'd stick with the proven brands.

GPS is all around the routing software.... when u read all the comparisons and look at the maps the diff brands offer.. they do not differ much (or even at all in most cases) .. but the routing software is what sets the brands apart vs any other feature....

You can take 3 diff gps systems with the same maps but differant routing software engines and they will send you 3 differant ways and give you 3 differant arrival times....

Harmon Kardon makes good speakers.. Garmin makes GPS navs and dedicates to gps only. I prefer Garmin, but have you seen the new sony gps? looks pretty cool.
