Hi All,
So this past weekends snowfall has taken its toll on my 3. My wife was driving through an intersection and the f1kin snow removal truck must have come through in the opposite direction shortly before and left a huge pile of ice/snow blocking the whole intersection. She didnt see it until the last second and at that point had no choice but to run right through it. Damages to the bumper are:
-Front license and plate holder broken off and lost.
-lower large center grille has been cracked into pcs but partly still attached which means most of the bumper hooks are still in place.
-smaller side grilles have popped out due to impact but are still intact.
-dent on lower left side of the actual bumper.
Pics below.
Does anyone know where i can get cheap parts? Does anyone know of anywhere in the GTA where i can get good cheap labour?
Thanks.

Sorry to hear, for a new bumper, go see Flippy (aka Joe) at the parts department at MoT. You'll have to find someone to paint it (Supreme Auto Collision does a good colour match). Install can easily be done by yourself so don't bother paying someone to do it. Hope that helps.

You might as Well get fog lights while you're at it as the spot where the grill popped out would make a great fog light plug in & Im Sure any dealership will have a license plate holder you can pick up for a small cost

With bumper damage, people always say to make sure that it still can function as a bumper. Apparantly even if it cosmetically doesn't look too bad, internally it might not be fit.
The above poster is probably right, you can get aftermarket foglights for around 70-80 shipped off ebay. If the entire bumper is sound, get maybe a lip to cover over that dent. Should end up being cheaper maybe?
If it did that much damage to the front, I would be alittle more concerned about possible damage underneath since she ran over it all. Can possibly get that checked out if you plan on doing an oil change + talking to Joe @ MoT about spare parts.
Talk to Joe at MOT for parts. The dent might be able to be fixed by a dent remover, they specialize in that.

That bumper can easily be popped out using a heat gun. I had my rear bumper smushed in like that and the guys in the shop popped it back out. As for the center grille, bracket and side grilles shoot me a PM and we can work out something.

Like Flipdady said, the bumper can be popped back out and I think the side grilles can still be used by popping them back in place. I would guess only a new center grille and plate/plate holder is required.

Thanks everyone for your responses and a special thanks to FLIPDADY for all his help so far.
EvilEric - I never even thought of looking under the car for damages so thanks for bringing this to my attention. I checked it over (under?) last night and there was nothing out of place underneath, thank goodness!

I just wanted to give FLIPDADY a very special thank you on the outstanding job he did in fixing up my car. Very quick, professional and courteous and just an all-round nice guy. I will definitely be doing more business with him and Mazda of Toronto.

wow, they did a good job popping that bumper back out. I'm glad you didn't have to fork over $$ to replace the whole thing.
