The Xenon headlights thay refer to in the changes to the 2008.5 Mazda 3 GT,are these the "bluish" colored ones that I see on some of the high end cars today?? If so, can I change my existing bulbs to these, or is iy not quite as simple as that????

They are HIDs. There is a lot more involved than just swapping bulbs.

OEM HIDs are almost a pure what, and like Skarbro said, you cant just switch bulbs. The housing is different (although it looks similar), and the HIDs need ballasts etc to run. Very expensive swap.

-John....guess I won't be doing that anytime soon. Prolly be trading this spring anyway....

You can get aftermarket HIDs like many many members have on here, including myself.

You can also get aftermarket bulbs, but it will be no where near the same quality, brightness, look, etc. as HID's. Yes they are a cheaper alternative, but you pay for what you get.
