Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone here has bought contact lenses online before?

I'm assuming you need to send them a legit prescription?
Do I just fax it to them?

Does anyone know how long prescriptions are valid for?

Any recommendations on online a cheap store?

I'm just curious 'cause i'm too lazy to go to my old opticians as it's now out of the way for me since i've moved.

Thanks,
Ray

I use www.1800contacts.com ...for my stuff they are the cheapest place that I know! Typically delivery to the Toronto area is 2 weeks and if for some reason you don't get your order they will send a replacement by courier! For the 4 times that I have ordered lenses I have only had to pay $10 in duties once.

There's a big thread on redflagdeals.com about contacts. Coastalcontacts.com and clearlycontacts.ca are the same company, but the former is the U.S. site and the latter is the Canadian site. The Canadian site has higher pricing, but if you call in, just get them to price match the U.S. site. Free shipping for orders over $100, and no duties/taxes/brokerage. They are legally required to get a prescription, but they never ask for it. I ordered from them last month.
