Hey,
My aunt got her batt replaced.
They gave her a brand called Exide,
cost her $180 w/ install, 6 year warranty.
I've a feeling she got ripped off.
I can't find much on the net about Exide,
anyone shed me some light?

Do you have any more info about the battery? Or at least the vehicle it went into? Without that it's rather difficult to make any judgement about the cost....

but its a POS of a car. No one in my household likes driving it.
I checked canadian tire, its like $70.00 for a car batt, and thats a rip in itself.
Interstate batteries are around $40 if I remember correctly.
$160 for a batt? $20 for install. wtf man.

Not too sure about the requirements for the Mercedes, but I can attest to the quality behind Kirland batteries. Made by interstate, they're about half the price of the motomaster ones.

Exide is a large company, so its a solid battery. It does sound on the high side though, unless there is something specially needed in the C230 (doubting it).
I picked up my redtop for $125ish, and Sam's Club would have installed free! :)
