View Full Version : Engine Ping getting worse so I sent a email to Dave Woods Service Manager
I have a problem with my 2007 Mazda 3 GS. It has 24,500 km on it,. Anyways, after the tranny shifts into 4th gear, I hear a pinging sound coming from the engine and the car appears to hesitate. I took it to the dealer once but they did not hear it, but I will take it back and have them listen better.
Anyone else have this problem?
The noise is getting worse so I decided I will send an email to the Service Manager and we shall see what will be. When I revved the engine it sounded like a sick whale :flaming

did you by any chance to a port and polish with a bag sand? lol....like the yahoo who has the VW or Audi.....
just messing around, I hope everything works out, good thing you still have warranty.
Well, still no reply. So I resent the message and this time told them if I dont hear anything back, I will be contacting Mazda of Canada. Like it will make any difference.
I SO wish I stuck with Honda.

Take it to another dealership if you're not happy with what they've done.
Looks that will be the plan. But to downright ignore me, that is upsetting. Sorry, having a brain fart day

Thanks. If you do take it to another dealership, call D. Wood Service desk and let them know you've taken the car elsewhere because of what they've done, or not done in this case. It would be wise to send a memo by fax to the Owner/Manager of the dealership telling him/her the same.
They've just lost your money.
OH I PLAN TOO. I work in Customer Service and one thing I DONT do, is DIS the customers :)

I have had my car serviced at Dave Wood and have e-mailed the service manager many times and always get a reply, usely within in the same day, I have via e-mail made my appoinments through him. The reason I e-mail him is if I have a problem I like to dicuss it with him first.
He may be away, when he is on holidays you will get an automatic reply saying he is away and to contact so and so or wait till he comes back. Can't believe he doesn't reply. Phone and ask to make a appointment with HIM to talk over your problem, I am sure-think he will say ok
Well, I didnt. I dont know what to say. I will resend it to them. Maybe its lost somewhere in cyberspace. Do me a favour would you? Send me his email addy as the one on the site might not be working

I sent an e-mail to him a few days ago and still waiting, maybe away, no problem, not in a hurry, just be patient, I am in no hurry
