If you have not had the chance to get this recall done, Scarborough Mazda will still do it for you. I went by there today and they were still willing to do it for me, even though this was supposed to be done b4 March 31.

is the shock sensor and the door lock recall separate?

Yes and no... The rebate is a part of the door lock recall, but you have to ask for it specifically otherwise you only get the door reinforcement plate.

I have an appointment to get the sensor installed today after they "forgot" to install it on Monday.

Some dealerships are still willing to do it, since it is a recall. I'll get it done aventually, maybe when all the snow melts

I'm sorry this only applies if you have the mazda alarm system?

In that first letter it said they would send us a second letter when the parts would be available.....I've NEVER got that second letter....did anyone else? I always saw on here(the board) that dealerships didn't have the parts yet, they were on backorder etc...Are they in stock at the dealerships now/ Can we just phone the dealer and make the appointment?

Yes you have to just call. I personally don't think there ever was a second letter. Many members have had this done for over a month already.

Ok, Thanks for the reply... I will do that this week.....I haven't been on the board much for the past month as I had been busy with things and was getting ready for a trip so now everything has settled down i can frequent the boards more often...

Guys, what if I misplaced my first letter? Can't find it for the life of me... I'm sure Mazda would have a record that my 2007 GT needs the plate + shock sensor?

Your VIN# is proof enough. The advisor can punch in you VIN# and see if the recalls apply.

You don't need the letter. Just go and make an appointment to have it done. :)
