hey guys, yesterday i was installing my amp, and sicne im keeping the factory HU, i bought a module to convert the rear speakers into RCA signal, i had to run the wire thru the B pillar where that white plastic connector looking thing is, so i got a screwdriver and wiggled the connector out of the way and ran the wire and put it back together..... started the car up when i was done and the light was on, anyone know if i did something, or its just something else?

i did a search on here and saw that alot of people have had the problem, the only thing that i might think of is i did have to pull the plastic cover off the B pillar and push the seats forward, that might of done it? my mechanic at work (i work for a landscape construction company) told me to disconnect the battery for like half hour and see if thats will fix it, so i just did that

anyone know!?

inside the B pillar, on the outside part, theres a rubber gromet covering the plastic plug...

and its the light in the gauge cluster not next to the cig. lighter

that plug which you are describing may be the power window harness with door lock and speaker. thats the only wire i can think of in that area. That would not cause an airbag light to come on. if that was disconected it would tell you on the cluster that a door is not properly closed. the airbag light next to the cig lighter is different then the one on the cluster because the clusater one means you have a problem and the one next to the cig lighter means that the seat occ detector is measuring a load of 80punds or less on the seat meaning that whatever is on the seat is to light for the airbag to deploy in case of an accident. Unless you have a combination of the light on the cluster and the light on next to the cig lighter that would most likely mean you have a fault in your passenger seat occ sensor. check to see if you have a screwdriver or something wedged in between the seats causing the light to go on or check underneath the seat. there is one rather large plug and it has all the wiring for the seat. make sure it has all the wires proiperly connected to it and that the plug is in properly.
