Greetings fellow TM3 members,
I'm a student currently studying Marketing Administration. I was directed to this site by Jeff when we spoke on RFD.
I'm happy to become a member on this board and looking forward to meets and BBQs!
Tom.

Welcome to the forums!
The deciding factor for me was the fact that the Sport had a cheaper monthly lease payment (although more expensive car) and a clearer rear view.

Welcome to the board. With respect to the colour I'd go with the Black. From what I've seen on this board that colour really gives you the flexibility to incorporate additional colours in the detailing if you decide to go that route in modifications.
Sedan vs Sport is a tough call and really goes to what you need the car for. Many of the guys with the hatch option have it to make full use of the storage capacity. While others simply have the mantra that Hatch is simply better looking than the Sedan. I really can't argue with either logic because it is the truth.

Welcome to the board, my advice is to be happy with whatever you decide. You can't really go wrong with any of the selection.

Welcome to the forum
if i were you i would consider a speed 3 if money is not an issue. if the wallet is a little thin i would go for the hatch in grey

Greetings fellow TM3 members,
I'm a student currently studying Marketing Administration. I was directed to this site by Jeff when we spoke on RFD. I've been doing a lot of reading before I land my purchase on a Mazda 3 GT. Right now I'm debating rather I should get the Sedan or the Sport, I like both so it's hard to decide. Also I'm trying to decide what colour to get, Cardon Grey, Arctic White, Phantom Blue or even Black.
I'm happy to be a member on this board and looking forward to meets and BBQs!

Glad you joined the site Tom..
I can make your decision a little easier as well.. No more Phantom Blue and no more Carbon Grey in the 2008.5 and all the 2008s are gone in those colours. :whoa
But... you can have Stormy Blue or Metropolitan Grey.

Hello to all:
I am also a 22 year old male excited to drive a new M3! Like Tom, I am studying Marketing, but graduating this year. Planning on getting the 2008.5 M3 GS sedan - black or metro grey. Have to give thanks to the great discussion boards in this community for helping me with my research and look forward to contributing in the future.

I got a gs hatch n a good friend of mine has the sedan. He always tells me that he wished he got the hatch and I also tell him that I should have gotten a sedan. Either way they're both good cars. Ps there seems to be more aftermarket esthetic parts for the sedan so better option if ur into that kind of thing.

Welcome! I say hatch because it's more versatile and it looks better in my opinion lol. I personally really like the white (it's one of the nicest factory paint job's i've ever seen on a car) or the black, which I personally really like because it's "low profile" and the metallic is just so, unique? Black metallic usually isn't seen on a car at this price point. Just beware that scratches are more evident on black (so get touchup paint if you go that way) and obviously white is a dirt magnet, though it hasn't been to bad on TOKIC_O's

Hey, I was there at around 11pm with my friend in the Porsche Cayenne. I can imagine the meet was huge, still so many cars left at 11:00pm! I hope I can make the next one.

As for tinting, should I go for 20, 28, 30, or 35% on a CWP Sedan? I think 20% is too dark, I have astigmatism so it would make it even more difficult to see at night. Any suggestions? perhaps some pictures to share? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure either 30% or 35 is the darkest your fronts can *legally* go anyways. I have 35% (I know I wrote 30, but i found out later it's 35) and it looks a lot better (though it's black). rears you can go as dark as you want, and that shouldn't affect your night driving anyways.

oh true. i forgot what astigmatism affects. i'm personally quite happy with 35 all around, it's fine at night too. can't supply any pics on what it would look like on a white car though.
