Hi folks -
I have had this happen 2-3 times in the past year.
I've got a 2006 Mazda 3 automatic and have had this occur whether I was using the tiptronic shifting or the regular auto mode.
I'm braking for a stop (red light, stop sign, etc.), and I notice that the engine is still revving pretty high even though the car has stopped (almost as if I was giving it gas in neutral). I've had to shift it into neutral and then back into drive to get it to "calm down".
Anyone else encountered anything similar? The car has less than 25K on it and has been maintained according to Mazda's normal maintenance schedule...
Thanks!
