Hey Everyone,

I was driving to work today, and noticed that my driver side mirror is shaking/vibrating when going fast speeds, and even when im' going 50km/ or over... I tried to play around with it, and it doesn't make any difference. My passenger side mirror is fine, but the driver side is really starting to bug me.

Any suggetions? Would this be covered by warranty if I take it in?

Any suggestions/comments are always appreciated!

Thank you,

Jan

This would be covered. Is the mirror loose or is it the entire housing?

I assume that just the mirror is loose, the whole thing seems to be ok, but its just the actual mirror that is shaking...

I assume its probably best to get both check out, maybe it needs to be tightened from the inside?!

LOL turning the base down... I will actually try that when I'm going home, lets see what it does...

If not, i'll just call up Mississauga Mazda, and see what can be done...

Thanks Guys! :)

I had this too when I first got the car...exact same problem with the driver's side shaking and passenger side smooth.

It seems to have resolved itself somewhat with time. Either that or I just got more used to it. :)

yeah they fixed it.

Can I ask you what dealer this was, if you remember? I've just learned to live with mine, but if I can get it fixed next oil change, that would be good. :)

well shouldn't the 3/80 bumper to bumper cover everything? like this rumble isn't normal wear and tear stuff like brakes.... so i dont see why they wont cover it

That's a loose mirror on the mounting that makes it shake like that. Likely mounting clips have gone loose. If you are still under warranty they should replace it without any probs...
