Hey guys, just picked up my slightly used 07 GT Sport with lux. I love this car! especially since I was coming from a '99 Chev Z24.

Anyways as with any used vehicle purchase I expected to notice some of the smaller imperfections as the first week went by, especially after giving the car a good wash you start to notice the subtle things. Now all in all this car is extremely clean and the interior is mint (even as the dealers detail job starts to fade...lol). All the body panels are perfect just a couple stone chips to the front end (expected).

Here is my problem, the third morning I have the car I notice the front bumper on the drivers side was coming away from the fender and with further inspection I noticed the mount on the bumper which mounts to the body is broken...and after looking closer I notice the rivets which hold the wheel well to the bumper are missing as well.

So I call the dealer right away and they tell me to bring my car in right away and they will fix. I was told and I quote...

'this is a common problem to do with those cars, somthing to do with ice forming in the wheel well'

Now is there any truth to this? because after searching a bunch I can't seem to find this problem. I've done a full carfax report and I was ensured by the dealer the car is accident/problem free...which I believe but it just seems weird. Anyways the dealer is fixing free of charge on the spot, it's just garbage because there really is no way to fix the bumper mount.

Problem #2, now another half a week later, I wash the car and noticed one of the fog lenses are cracked, I didn't notice before because from a distance the crack just looks like a reflection. I want this fixed because a small amount of water can get in and it's possible it will keep burning out the bulbs, do you think I have a leg to stand on?

Problem #3, Nothing major just my own stupid fault, I guess from using the pressure washer I sprayed off the cover for the rear wiper arm. A tip for anyone who uses these washes with this car is to watch the cover on the wiper! Anyone know how much to buy this small hunk of plastic?

Thanks guys, I know it's a bit long winded but hey I don't post that much so I gotta make them good right?

I have the same problem on my bumper as well. The corner piece just sticks out a good cm at least.

Well just got back from the dealer, in and out within 20mins. They fixed the bumper issue and replaced the rivets. Obviously they couldn't fix the mount on the actual bumper since the urathane is actually broken but they did what they could. I'll have to go to CT and find some kind of epoxy or something.

All they could do for the fog lens is use a clear sealant over the crack, they quoted me $179 for the new lamp which I find ridiculous. Anyone know where I could find an '07 GT fog light (lens only)? for cheaper I don't need the whole kit just the lens.

They were nice enough to give me a replacement cap for the rear wiper as well. All in all everything was free of charge and as expected. I just wish the fog lights were more durable, they should be able to withstand moderate rock impact. I'm apprehensive to replace it because it seems to likely to happen again.
