Just keep that to yourself. Although you shouldn't have been going that fast, some members here wishes you harm because you were doing something ridiculous. So watch out for the hate. I'm sure you don't want to be flamed.

Yes 160 km/h on the fast lane. didn't realize until i saw the flashing CEL and the speed.
How can you not realize when you engine is buzzing like a lawnmower?

I have one question, is your CEL flashing? if it is, you have a serious misfire, which could be any number of things

I don't think anyone meant it like that. We are just telling him to be more cautious especially with the new law in place.
So what happened at Erin Mills?

Must have been taken out of context. :bang
Good thing I didn't jump on those pulstar. Thought they were kind of shady.
Also, if you're in third gear tiptronic going 160km/h, shouldn't the computer automatically pop you to the next gear? Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the car would stop you from fugging up your car because you're redlining like crazy.

I thought it would, too. I'm pretty sure my manual said that it would change gear to protect the engine from over-revving.
My bf put my car into manual mode by mistake once while I was with him. I was looking around us wondering whose car was making that noise when I realized it was mine! We weren't going over 30-40 kph, though!

driving in high rpms personally i think is goos for the car every once in a while to blow all the crap out of your engine. Ill admit i drive my car hard but i dont abuse it but it has alot more kick then some of the cars i have driven that were completely babied all thier life

I can see it. I've done 150 in 3rd, could've kept going but was already at 6300rpm and didn't want to hit the limiter. Obviously not something you should do all the time, but once in a while won't hurt. This was in a 5MT by the way. You guys all have to remember, shifttronic is still an automatic, and automatics don't necessarily take abuse very kindly.

well, just be careful about all that crap in your cylinder, they won't be able to get everything out unless they take off the head. and ceramics is not like walnut shells, it will not burn away.
I only say this because I have seen an idiot do this, and I know you won't because the work was done at a dealership, do not throw the pieces of ceramic at your car, that stuff will crack your window in an instant
