not sure if this is where I post this or not, if its wrong mods please move to proper location.
I just got my car certified 07 mazda 3, my wheel bearings are howling but there is NO play in them at all. im not 100% sure but shouldnt the bearings not be howling at all? I brought it back to the guy who did the mechanical and he said that if there was play then it wouldnt pass the mechanical but if its just noise its ok
anybody know about this?

I did go to my dealer here in town mid city mazda, and the service adviser said since the car was certified 2 weeks ago actually today that the bearings should of been fixed then.
I talked to my brother who's a class A at GM and he said the dealer should fix it cause its under warranty but my mazda dealer is saying no. Im getting really frustrated cause he sends me back to my dealer where I got it and they say mazda should fix it and he says they should
the bearing howling passes mechanical but its annoying as hell and I want it fixed!!!

oh yeah btw the car was in a front end accident before I bought it and they changed a few front end parts, strut and spindle and the 1 bearing on the passenger side but its the driver's side thats making the noise I put it on a hoist and listen to it with a stestiscope

go to another dealership, don't say you just got the car. just go 'errr i think the wheel bearing is messed'
did they guy before go through insurance?
if they did, they should have used OEM parts

did not know that man.
either way, I wish you good luck man!
whats the mileage on the car?
if its under 80k the dealer should warranty it. if its over (which i doubt) then the seller should replace it.
odds are if you give it to the seller, hes just gonna take it to the dealer for the replacement anyways (as it is under warranty unless the car was in an accident that has knocked out the bearing)

if there are not OEM parts (that is MOD to them, no matter what), dealer wont warranty it, thats the rule of the game. he said that the guy replaced some parts after accident. i wish good luck for OP.
